Notes for Coats’: A Night of Music and Purpose in Nashville
Late Great Speakeasy in Nashville played host once again to Notes for Coats’, a remarkable songwriters round that not only showcased incredible talent but also raised vital awareness of Coats’ Disease and funds for the Jack McGovern Coats' Disease Foundation. This unique event continues to bring together an incredible lineup of talented songwriters, each sharing their heartfelt music while supporting a worthy cause.
Coats' Disease, a rare eye disease, is often discovered too late, resulting in partial or total vision loss, making the Foundation’s mission to raise awareness and fund research into a cure even more crucial. The evening featured a lineup of talented musicians: Jacob Hackworth, Justin Ebach, Evie, and Ben Williams, who captivated the audience with their stories and songs. Guest speakers included Lisa Richardson (founder of Notes for Coats’), Kip Richardson (Coats’ patient), and renowned ophthalmologist, Dr. Franco Recchia. The evening also featured a live auction and paddle raise.
The success of Notes for Coats’ can be attributed to the community’s spirit of giving and the powerful connections fostered through music. Attendees enjoyed an intimate setting where they could engage with the artists and learn more about the impact of Coats' Disease. The event not only celebrated the art of songwriting but also highlighted the strength of community involvement in addressing rare diseases.
In a city known for its music, Notes for Coats’ stood out as a shining example of how music can unite people for a common cause. With the outstanding success of Notes’ for Coats’, we are already looking forward to future rounds that continue to blend artistry with philanthropy, amplifying the voices of those in need, and fostering a connection between the music and Coats’ communities!
