We are pleased to announce that the 2024 Cure Coats' 5K is set for June 22-29, 2024 and REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Once again, we have two options to participate again this year: In-Person and Virtually! All participants will receive a t-shirt and wristband.

In-Person Cure Coats' 5K
The In-person Cure Coats' 5K will take place on Saturday, June 22 at 9:00 AM at the Sierra Point Marina in Brisbane, CA
Virtual Cure Coats' 5K
For those participating virtually, the Virtual 5K will be held from June 22 - June 29, 2024. You choose your activity: run, walk, bike, golf - whatever you can do to reach the 5K distance!

COAT’S DISEASE AWARENESS DAY
AUGUST 17, 2024
Coats' Disease Awareness Day takes place each year on August 17 to shine a light on this rare disease. It is a day for all Coats' patients, parents, families, friends, and physicians to spread the word about this disease, promote early diagnosis, and fund research to find a cure.
There is no cure for Coats' Disease yet and many cases go undiagnosed or misdiagnosed. Raising awareness may lead to an earlier diagnosis and prompt treatment so that a child's vision may be saved. Funding research is critical to identifying improved treatments and to finding a cure for Coats' Disease.

Connecting for a Cure
This year, on Saturday, August 1, we invite you to support the fight against Coats’ Disease by hosting a gathering, party, or community event in your community.
Create an event of your choosing and invite your community, including family, friends, neighbors, doctors, and others! Ideas might include a picnic, a BBQ, a potluck supper,
a family gathering, a movie night, a formal dinner, or whatever suits your style! The type of event, including timing (day or night), is solely up to you!
The Foundation will provide a host package which includes:
• Printable posters and informational pages
• Awareness bracelets
• Logo pens
• Personalized website to share your story and event details
• Online auction for guests to explore
• Video from the Foundation to share with guests
• Suggested program guide
• Advice along the way!

The 18th Annual Jack McGovern Coats' Disease Foundation Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 12, 2022. Check in begins at 10:00 a.m. Lunch, refreshments, and range balls will be provided again this year. Please come out and support our fight for a cure for Coats' Disease!
Join us for a Reception and Dinner following the golf tournament to celebrate the winners, allow guests a chance to win raffle prizes, support the Foundation's Fund a Need paddle raise, participate in an exciting live auction, and have an opportunity to truly understand Coats' Disease and its impact on patients and families. Non-golfers are invited to attend (Dinner-only option).
