Coats Disease Awareness Day in California is on August 17th

California State Senator Jerry Hill has introduced a State Senate Resolution (SR 40) to designate August 17th as Coats Disease Awareness Day in California.

The Resolution urges and supports all efforts to raise “awareness of this disease, promote and enable early detection and advance treatments, achieve prevention, further scientific research, and find a cure for this disease.”

The California Senate will take up the resolution on August 17th in Sacramento and members of the Jack McGovern Coats Disease Foundation Board will be present when the vote is taken.

This is a wonderful and exciting achievement that will raise public awareness of the disease and encourage private investment in research towards treatments and a cure.

Our Coats Community in California is urged to write Senator Hill thanking him for his efforts and also writing to their own State Senator urging that Senator to support SR 40.
