Joseph Galligan, CPA
Joseph Galligan is President of Galligan, Thompson and Flocas, LLP Certified Public Accountants and Consultants located in San Mateo, CA. Established in 1980, the firm specializes in all aspects of tax planning, business valuation, litigation and return preparation, including retirement planning for individuals and business planning for small to medium size companies. Joe is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Joe possesses extensive leadership and volunteer Board experience. He is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants and served for four years on the Board of Directors. He is a Founding Director of the San Mateo County National Bank and a former member of the Board of Directors of Peninsula Bank of Commerce and former Director of Mid-Peninsula Bank.
A resident of Burlingame, California, where he was born and raised, Galligan served as Mayor of the City of Burlingame for two years and was a Council Member from 1997-2005. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of Mission Hospice, Inc. of San Mateo County from 1989 to 1997 and President of Board of Directors in 1991 and 1992.
Currently, Joe is the Member of the Budget Advisory Council for San Mateo Union High School District; Treasurer of Community Gatepath; Treasurer of the San Mateo County Legal Aid Society; Head of Budget and Finance of Mercy High School – Burlingame; and Director of SkyPark Airport Parking Services, Inc.
Joe is a graduate of Bellarmine High School and received a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from the College of Santa Fe, New Mexico and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University.
